What this version is

A cotton string mop with a screw-thread head on a three-section iron handle. The sections screw together to give a working length of about 107 cm with two sections or about 144 cm with all three.

Each set ships with two heads, one to use and one spare. The head unscrews from the handle, so changing it takes a few turns.

The set is two cotton string heads and a handle in three sections. Use two sections for a shorter mop or all three for a full-length one; taken apart, the handle packs short in the carton.

Cotton string head

The head is cotton string on a blue plastic cap, roughly 28–31 cm long and 21 cm across when spread. It is used wet or dry, and can be washed by hand or in a machine.

Deep cap on a screw thread

The strings are held in a deep plastic cap that screws onto the handle with a thread about 2 cm across. The factory describes it as an Italian-type thread, which many mop and broom heads also use.

It is a general-purpose mop for wood, laminate and tiled floors in homes, rental flats, offices and small shops, used wet with an ordinary bucket or dry for dust.

The handle comes apart into three short sections, so the set packs in a much shorter carton than a one-piece mop. That keeps freight per unit down on a low-priced line.
